Who We Are

Lake Area Big Brothers Big Sisters is a nationally accredited, not for profit agency which has been providing services to the youth of Miller and Camden Counties.

Big Brothers Big Sisters facilitates matches between adult mentors (Bigs) with children (Littles) age 6-14 who need additional support, guidance and encouragement. Once matched, Littles may stay in the program until age 17.

Currently, Lake Area Big Brothers Big Sisters serves over 50 children a year and has over 37 active matches, but there are many kids still waiting for a Big Brother or a Big Sister.

MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of Lake Area Brothers Big Sisters is to make a positive difference in the lives of children and youth, through a professionally supported primarily one-to-one relationship with a caring and committed volunteer, and to assist them in achieving their highest potential as they grow to become more confident, competent, and caring individuals.

LAKE AREA OFFICE
2001 Missouri Valley Big Brothers Big Sisters helped to open and facilitate a satellite office for the Lake Ozark area. Lake Area Big Brothers Big Sisters serves children in Camden and Miller Counties.
